Check out this World Business Review YouTube video interview with the founder of BullionVault, Paul Tustain. Basically this video just provides the viewers with some short reasons as to why you'd want to invest (I also say protect) your money into gold.
You may get the impression that I just shamelessly promoting BullionVault, but I sincerely believe that it would be a prudent decision to hold at least a small portion of your overall wealth in the form of gold bullion. Anyways, enjoy the interview :)
