Good Day Members,

It's been a pretty busy month in IS. We had some problems with E-gold, but they seem to have been resolved now as some of the more trusted exchangers are resuming outexchanges again, so that means that we can accept e-gold now again.

The whole month was sort of a "dry-run" for IS as we tried out new trading methodologies and a new broker to boot. Technical trading has been pretty good to us during the month, netting us small profits here and there. We did experience some drawdowns, but not too much to cause a worry. We started technical trading with a few mini-lots at a time to get used to the method while gradually increasing our trades to full-lot trades. A lot of the earlier profits were from mini-lots, so not much there, and with the end of the month approaching fast, we ended up with a mini-lot value profit.

Profit for this month: 1.19%

Interview with AlertPay CEO, Firoz Patel

Thanks to NoBS Blog for the following e-mail interview with Firoz Patel, CEO of Alertpay.

---start of quote ---

Hi Firoz, thank you for taking your time to answer our interview questions at No Bullshit HYIP Community Blog.

When was AlertPay established? Is there any specific reasons why AlertPay was started at that time?

AlertPay was established June 19, 2005. Actually it was conceptualized and developed during a full year before launching.

How many users does AlertPay currently have?

I can say that AlertPay is growing at a steady rate of about 300 new members daily and at this time we are little less than 1 million users. Most of our new members are referrals from current members and come from our affiliate program.

Does AlertPay allow HYIPs and autosurfs to work as a payment processor? If yes, what kind of restrictions does AlertPay has on those?

AlertPay allows all legal businesses in using its services. We have no problems with HYIP or autosurf businesses as they are not illegal. Only certain fraudulent HYIP or autosurf where the
admin is trying to defraud AlertPay and its users, we restrict them or suspend them from using our services.

We have taken strong measures in getting money back to those who were defrauded from administrators whose goals where to steal money without providing any for it. To date, our
members are very happy with the results.

How many different funding options does AlertPay has and what kind of fees are we expecting when we are doing any inexchange, outexchanges and transfers?

This is one of the benefits, because AlertPay has many different funding options. All the fees are found on our site at www.alertpay.com.

For funding (deposit) your AlertPay account we have money orders, bank wires, bank transfers, credit cards, and cashiers checks. Soon we will also accept BillPay, and open up our services to European for bank transfers as well.

As for Withdrawal options, we offer traditional check, bank transfers for US and Canada. But soon as we add all of Europe clients may also withdraw to banks there. I shouldn’t mention this but we are adding AlertPay Debit Cards into the options this year (late summer maybe?!).

Does Alertpay incorporate any kind of verifications for customers when they use your service (eg. ID verifications)?

AlertPay does rigorous photo ID verification and address verification for its members who are flagged. The flagging is done randomly but we feel that we have either eliminated fraud or have extremely controlled it.

I see Alertpay is based in Canada. What currency are the accounts denominated in?

AlertPay is based in Canada, but is an international company. With its business licenses in Canada, US, and Europe, we must grow to retain all the major currencies. Soon we will no longer be restricted to accept US Dollars, and CAD Dollars, as we add on Europe, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, South Africa and Hong Kong, we will also carry the currencies of these specific regions.

Does Alertpay have an AntiMoney Laundering policy?

AlertPay has an AML (Antimoney Laundering) policy which is required by the laws of Canada and United States. Since we do business in both of these countries, we abide and comply with the laws of these countries.

Does Alertpay has any unique features which stands out on the market compared to any other Digital Currencies?

AlertPay is not a digital currency. AlertPay is a payments processor. AlertPay does all its business directly with all the providers, unlike other processors. Alertpay has direct services with Banks for Bank Transfers (ACH in USA and Canada) and European bank transfers, Credit Cards, Check clearing and issuance, Debit Cards, BillPay, etc…

As well, AlertPay is on the side of all members. That means members who are merchants can count on AlertPay in NOT freezing their accounts without reason unlike other Payment
companies. AlertPay treats all of its members with courtesy and professionally.

I don’t see any mentioning on debit cards. Does Alertpay has one for customers?

AlertPay has negotiated with a bank on issuing debit cards. We have had this agreement completed since early 2007. However as AlertPay has many other development projects, Debit
Cards have been pushed to be released later this year, possibly late summer.

Which is Alertpay’s main competitor and why?

I am not sure which is AlertPay’s main competitor but we feel that we are going off in another direction in the industry. It is difficult to compare companies since all have their own niche in the marketplace.

I’m sure Alertpay has heard of EMOCorp and what actually happened to it. Does Alertpay has licenses in all states of the US, like Paypal to do businesses with US Citizens? (You can check out this url as well: http://hyipblog.nobshyip.net/2007/04/03/solidpaytrustlegalinformation/)

AlertPay is a Canadian company located in Montreal. This issue was brought up time and time again. As a Canadian company we must be licensed in Canada. After speaking with the OSFI (Office of the Superintendent for Financial Institutions) they told us that we are not required to register with Canada’s banking laws.

We are already regulated in Quebec by the IGIF (Inspector General of Financial Institutions). New regulations are coming out this year which will include licensing and regulations.

As for what happened to EMOCorp and any others, these companies had to be licensed since they were located in the US doing business in their own state as well. AlertPay will need to get licensed in every US state that requires it, but for now, we do not need to for 2 reasons.

1. Either it is not required since we are not located in the US and/or
2. We are not doing enough business in the particular state and there are minimums before even applying for a license. For now we are compliant with Fincen (in USA) and Fintrac
(in Canada) which governs and regulates money laundering and suspicious transactions.

Remember one thing, AlertPay is here to stay and grow to become a very large financial services provider and payments processor. In some cases, we do meet the minimum of millions
of dollars of transactions required to simply apply for a state specific license. We will get licensed as we fulfill the criteria of becoming eligible for licensing.

Do you have any views on the recent Egold indictment case?

Yes actually. Egold brought this upon themselves. With their lax rules and controls, their system was being used for all kinds of fraud and money laundering. I think that Egold should be split up into 2 entities.

One for the issuance of Egold as ecurrency and the other to control the transfers and transactions. If they cannot do that, then there is no point in having Egold anymore. The rules on the international marketplace are changing greatly. There needs to be controls in place to stop thieves and criminals from using these services.

Also there must be controls in place for thieves to be frozen or punished when a complaint is given to Egold. Since they don’t care about what happens with the Egold, some legitimate people get fraud monies, but many illegitimate merchants are able to get away with murder (figure of speech).

We have lost money as well in the process, but we have never allowed that to affect our members.

Summary

Since our launch in 2005, AlertPay is maintaining a calculated growth; learning from experience, improving its methods and continuously innovating in the industry. We are now used by close to 1 million users worldwide, because of our dedication to insure:

· Security and identity protection for all our members;
· Fraud prevention;
· Intelligent customer support;
· And useful services, including our series of personal and business tools.

AlertPay is a unique payment processor, and is distancing itself from the competition with services never before offered, for example:
· We are offering a wide variety of account funding options;
· AlertPay Debit MasterCards are being introduced to our members;
· We process transactions in multiple currencies
· We are developing services in Europe and other regions of the world.

Thank you for your time Firoz ;)

FXDD Auto: Update on my trades

Well, bad news, I just lost -120 pips :( . The trade was opened by EspritFX EUR/JPY. I have decided to remove them from my portfolio. I am getting tired of their negative performance. What makes it worse is that they opened the trade in a clear uptrend. My guess is that this is a mechanical trading system. It was trying to initiate a sell to possibly profit from the potential downswing (the EUR/JPY is at an all time high), but clearly it was a stupid trade which resulted in a loss of 120 pips!! Not cool for my account.

I have replaced EspritFX EUR/JPY with ATRChannel GBP/USD

That's all for now. I'll keep you guys posted.

Private 2 Investment Program (forex based) just received payment

I just recently received an e-gold payment from a very private online investment club that I call "Private 2". Here is a copy+paste of my withdrawal request. As you can see, it's not as if I withdrew a million dollars, but it's a very good return for about a month considering that I only put in $250 (I plan to invest more and reinvest all earnings).

Here is the proof:

Withdrawal Summary

Withdrawals to date:
$41.95
(to ecurrency account/wire transfer)

Oh, and I did a review of this private elite forex investment program and you can read it over HERE

As you may have noticed if you read my review, I'm charging $25 per referral code. This seems to me like a reasonable price considering that I only have 9 referral codes and therefore each code is precious. Contact me if you want in. I want only serious investors! None of that HYIP hit and run junk! Long term investors only (program has been running for roughly 3 years)!

So if you want in e-mail me at allinvain6 at gmail.com. Hope to see you become a member and chatting with me in the program's forum :)

e-currency exchanger "Icegold" resumes operations

Independent e-gold agent resumes exchanges on a limited basis. Good news for many.

Outexchanges resumed 26.06.07 Update

We have opened our sell e-gold service again. However, as the situation with e-gold and Omnipay is still unclear, we have set a limit of 10 000 USD (or equivalent) per customer in one day. If we get too many orders we will pause outexchanges until we need e-gold again. From now on the outexchange service availability will be indicated in the “we buy” column in the mini rates table at the top left corner of our webpage.

IceGold OU is an Estonian company founded in the spring of 2000. We offer exchange services between e-currencies and government issued money. IceGold is owned by Estonian and US individuals and companies.

Want your own Clickbank mall and search portal?

Hi everyone. As I was reviewing websites on linkreferral.com I came across a new "get your own free clickbank mall" service, so I decided to investigate further. After roughly 30 minutes exploring the site, I was convinced that it is by far the best designed free clickbank mall/search portal - even better than CBMall. The site is called Downloadsonline.org and you can get a FREE clickbank mall, search box, and clickbank ads (like google adsense). There is a slight catch, only 90% of the ads will have your clickbank id; 5% of the links will have the clickbank id of the person who referred you, and the remaining 5% the clickbank id of the site administrator. There is a way to have 100% of the links be yours, but for this you'd have to upgrade to "Pro" package for a one-time fee of $49.95.

What I suggest you guys do if if and when you sign up for this site is to get a domain name and have that domain point to your Clickbank mall's website. This is what I've done and you can see it in action by going to http://www.monstermall.ca

So, without further ado, here is the link to the opportunity page so you can decide if this is right for you. Good luck and I hope you make tons of cash :)

Update from Life-Holdings Admin - IMPORTANT! Read it if you're in the program.

-quote-

Hello.

I apologize for the late update.

Let me answer your questions and let's get rid of the recent rumors, for the sake of our mental sanity.

Profit payments and the process of cashing out members - on request or by my choice - are being delayed because of some problems at my bank. The center of the problems is my main Bank itself. Receiving five figure wire transfers every week or two from Betfair and sending the money out of the country to multiple e-currency exchangers is a strange routine. After investigating my regular transfers, my bank found out about E-gold and the problems 'associated' with it, and since then they have imposed a limit on my activity according to their anti-money laundering rules.
*Mind you, most bank employees earn $6,000 - $12,000 a year around here. Transferring those amounts weekly DOES raise an eye bro or two.

My decision is to reduce the number of wire transfers I have to perform, and in turn I am changing the payment schedule from Weekly payments to Monthly payments effective immediately. No payments will be made in June, so I will have announce the date for the first monthly payment in July soon; I do not know the exact date yet.

For all you rumor mongers, you should stop spreading lies and panic yourself, or others. There's no point in doing that.

The new payment schedule is a good change which I should have made even earlier. It will take take time for some to get used with it; I know others breathe relieved because it's something they've been expecting for some time now.

Dan (OptimusLH)

OmniPay temporarily suspends exchange to transition to OmniPay Africa

Update: June 21, 2007 OmniPay Africa had planned to become operational, conducting both in and outexchanges by June 18th. It now appears this service will be delayed several weeks. Establishment of OmniPay Africa has been on-going, designed to facilitate a remote and sophisticated payment capability to the majority of mankind underserved or excluded from traditional banking and constituting it properly is imperative. The complexities of making OmniPay Africa fully operational in an accelerated manner have been greater than originally anticipated causing this delay. We assure you we are working diligently to bring OmniPay Africa online.

Notice May 24, 2007: Effective immediately, G&SR will be leasing the OmniPay business to OmniPay Africa. All OmniPay exchanges will now involve e-gold transfers and money payments into/out of OmniPay Africa's e-gold and bank accounts respectively. G&SR has contracted to serve as the Operator of OmniPay but will not be a party to actual exchanges.

In terms of immediate impacts:

  • The OmniPay exchange service will suspend operation pending provisioning of a suitable bank account for OmniPay Africa. It is anticipated this service interruption will start May 24, 2007 with service resuming on or about June 18, 2007.
  • With resumption, all bank wires from customers must be directed to
the new bank coordinates which will be posted on the omnipay.com website.

The original plan was for OmniPay Africa to organize as a licensee of G&SR, the US company that owns OmniPay. A substantial development effort was underway to support the additional requirements for over-the-counter exchange operations such as biometric validation. However, recent actions of the US government, originating from a long-standing and misguided animus on the part of the US Secret Service, necessitate immediate action. Specifically, SEB Bank in Estonia has notified G&SR it is closing its bank account at close of business May 25, 2007 explicitly because of the Press Release from the US DOJ.

We regret the temporary interruption of OmniPay services. Just as the US government's recent actions in seizing e-gold accounts of e-gold Ltd., G&SR, The Bullion Exchange, AnyGoldNow, IceGold, GitGold, The Denver Gold Exchange, GoldPouch Express and 1MDC (and forcing G&SR to liquidate the seized assets!) have severely damaged not only these exchange businesses but also their innumerable customers, their forcing this complex transition to be performed on an emergency basis is simply shameful.

We do not however regret the transfer of OmniPay responsibilities to OmniPay Africa. As will become abundantly clear in coming months, the OmniPay Africa team is highly qualified to guide OmniPay to a higher level, a genuinely global service that will foster a beneficial surge in e-gold's emergence while bringing significant advantages to emerging economies.

Strategic Background

A major strategic emphasis for e-gold is to provide sophisticated remote payments capabilities to the majority of mankind underserved by or excluded by the banking system. An important focus is international remittances - payments from migrant workers living in advanced economies sending a portion of their earnings to their home country. For many developing economies, migrant remittances constitute a significant portion of foreign exchange income and even GDP. Traditional remittance mechanisms, however, are expensive and inflexible. It is estimated that lowering the net cost of remittances by a few percentage points could measurably enhance economic development. There is also increasing awareness that non-traditional banking such as micro-credit facilities can also aid in bootstrapping lesser developed economies.

OmniPay Africa, an entirely non-US company, majority owned by prominent business leaders from the Francophone countries of West Africa, was therefore organized to extend the usefulness of e-gold by providing support for over-the-counter exchange and by fostering the integration of e-gold into micro-credit lending institutions. The combination of e-gold (settling the international transfer of value with no need for a financial intermediary) and OmniPay (offering standardized, reliable, low cost exchange to/from local currency) will serve as a flexible low cost alternative to the traditional systems.

The case against e-gold

Article snipped from the BullionVault website:

"Digital gold-payment system e-Gold has been indicted for money laundering...

DID YOU SEE that the US Department of Justice indicted on-line firm e-Gold on charges of money laundering, conspiracy and operating an un-licensed money transmitting business?

The US government claims e-gold’s easy-to-use private transaction service makes it easier for criminals to launder money. For good measure, the Feds added that a digital payments system in gold would be favored by terrorists, child pornographers, and other real or imagined enemies of the nation-state and civil society.

Did it occur to the Feds that maybe people want to use gold as money because they have no confidence in the fraudulent, counterfeit product currently printed by the US Treasury?

Governments fear gold because it competes with their own paper currency as a viable and preferred means of exchange AND a store of value. So, under the guise that only people with something to hide would use a digital payment system backed by gold, the US government is hoping to obscure what the very existence of a company like e-gold signals: a growing lack of trust in the money of the American government.

The huge bull market in resources and resource stocks is also a sign of U.S. dollar diversification. Investors and foreign governments are storing (and hoarding) their wealth in more tangible sources of value rather than US currency or bonds. If anything, the Department of Justice’s attack on e-gold is a sign that officials in Washington are getting nervous.

They don’t want any competition for the dollar. They have lawyers and jails and are willing to use both.

Incidentally, we asked a lawyer friend of ours who works for the Department of Justice what he thought of this case. Off the record he wrote:

"I wonder how, with all that anonymity [in the creation of e-gold accounts] the government will show that the company knew that they were receiving money from these illicit sources. This is the crux of the case. Knowingly receiving stolen property is a crime and having any involvement with kiddie porn is probably enough for a jury to convict anyone, but I would venture a guess that every bank in the world, without exception, possesses proceeds from criminal gains. However, most depositors don’t inform the teller where the deposited money came from."

The US government has ruined American money. It is the biggest fraudster of them all. People are seeking alternatives like e-gold to protect themselves from the government’s monopolistic debasement of the currency. Trying to make alternatives to that money illegal or criminal doesn’t change the fact that the money is suspect. It just alerts the public that something is horribly wrong with America’s currency.

This is good for gold, if you can keep it."

Ebay tips

TIP 1
Make sure you are selling an information product that you would buy or on topics that you are interested in. For example if you are really good at runescape, sell a guide on runescape. Dont sell products you dont know about

TIP 2
Keep your prices between 5 - 10 dollars. This is an easy amount to spend on an information product.

TIP 3
Use a fixed price listing. This will allow you not to have to manage bids and or offers, and allows to sell more than one of that item with a single
listing.

TIP 4
Spread your acution across several categories. Instead of paying to sell 100 items in 2 categories. Sell in 20 categories 5 items each

TIP 5
Beware of the unessecary costly ebay options. the only ones you really need are Picture Gallery and Subtilte

TIP 6
Be aware that selling 6 or more items in a single listing costs you double the instertion fee.

TIP 7
Becareful using the Featured Plus listing, only use it if you know your item is popular or will sell enough to cover the 19.95 listing fee

TIP 8
Make sure your listings end between 8 - 10 PT as this is ebays daily‚ peek buying time, and if your listings are ending at this time they will show up at the top of search results. Sunday 8 - 10 PT is selling peek for the week

TIP 9
Feedback really matters when you\'re selling on eBay. If you have a consistent record of positive feedback, prospective buyers will both bid more often and be willing to pay higher prices. So you may want to hold back on placing higher priced products until you have a successful track record as an eBay seller established.

E-gold exchangers under DDOS attack

Icegold, Goldexchange.eu, Goldex.net and other major e-gold exchanger are under an DDoS attack. Please be patient as these exchangers resolve this problem. I the meantime access to their website might be a bit slow. I'd like to know exactly who is doing this. I have a feeling that this is not being caused by HYIP scammers as they would have something to lose from all this. Could it be caused US government agencies who are now going after the life-blood of the e-currency system - the market makers (exchangers).

the demise of my FXDD Auto account

Well, bad news folks, I just blew my FXDD Auto account :(. I'm down to just $78 and I can't open any more trades due to insufficient margin. I've had several trades go against me; mainly with the GBP/JPY pair.

I'm going to give this one more shot. Soon I'll add in $100 more via paypal and trade using only one signal provider (EspritFX) on the EUR/JPY pair. Hopefully I can regain my losses, and if not, I'll just say "screw it" and stick to manual trading.

Egold Motions for an Evidentiary Hearing

Egold filed a motion for an evidentiary hearing. Read the motion here. For those that aren’t sure what an evidentiary hearing is, you can read the wikipedia definition here. In addition, they asked the Court to vacate (remove) the seizure warrant and modify the post-indictment restraining order. I know that people don’t like to read legal documents, but this one is good. In the introduction they call the government’s actions draconian!

Life Holdings is up 1.80% this week

Life Holdings is up 1.80% this week as Dan explains on LH forum,

Hello,

I am not in the mood to write a long update explaining everything that happened this week. I was asked to drop by at my bank’s branch to explain and verify some details regarding two wire transfers I ordered (purchase of E-bullion for payments). After cutting down on all the small details: with E-gold fears (or the way the bank manager put it: “ongoing troubles in the e-currency business”) more and more exchangers are putting their services on-hold until a clear image of what is going to happen next will be available. That makes it a ton harder for me to keep up with my well known always on time weekly payments. I have been struggling to keep up and I have to tell you that from now on, if it is not possible, don’t get your freak on if payments will be made with small delays.

If dead on time payments are not possible because of external issues, I will not continue to struggle like a mad man until I crack or I get into problems with my bank like I did this week.

I will always update during the week if something comes up and changes the standard Friday-Saturday weekly payment schedule.

I didn’t have any time to trade FOREX this week but the profit I made in the two days I managed to play at Betfair is still acceptable.
I couldn’t buy enough gold this week so I had to withdraw funds our FOREX accounts to make all payments this week.

1.80% net profit for investors this week!
e-Bullion profit payments have been executed; check your e-currency account to verify yours!
E-gold profit payments - almost done!
Mail server is down - when it comes back up the updates will be sent.

Regards,
Dan

Here is an update from the Infinity Shares admins. If you're a member, read it! If you're not a member and would like to become one, then e-mail me at allinvain6 at gmail.com and I'll tell you exactly what you need to do. Note: Minimum investment is $100

"

Good Day to the Members,

First off, we'll start with updating everyone with an online meeting held by the club founders and the some of the major holders in the club. A while ago, we had a poll on our forum concerning the frequency of handing out results. Back then, we already noticed that members would prefer a longer period. Now that we have changed our trading focus from news to tech trading (for the known reasons), we think its time to adjust it. To start, with news trading, we only kept positions open for a couple of hours at most, but with scalp and swing trading, positions stay open longer, which causes a problem to give weekly reports. Besides that, when a weekly result is negative, we lower the share, but in case of a profitable week, so the share price keeps dropping in the long run.
Besides this, the pressure on the traders will be lowered cause they will not have a few days to turn a negative trade in a positive.
We decided that it would be best to announce the results once all the positions are netted before the end of each month. However, we will be updating the blog once every day or two on the actual positions of the trades we are in, so members can check in on how the club is doing on a periodic basis.

Trading during the past week was fairly noneventful. While using the new trading methods we have worked on for a while, we still couldnt help but cut our positions short and take profit early, but that's being overly safe for you. We had a nice profit at the middle of the week, which was offset by a bad call, plus a few smaller trades that helped us end the week out with a small net profit.

Regards,"

FXDD Auto: update on my trades

Woohoo! :) One of the signal providers I setup on my FXDD Auto account just netted me +120 pips with the length of the trade being roughly 1 day.

If you're a FXDD Auto member check out the following signal provider (I am not endorsing them, and I do not get paid to mention them!): EspritFX

This signal provider is responsible for the above win (using the GBP/USD pair). I'll keep you all updated on my trades. Currently EspritFX GBP/USD opened another trade and so far I am in profit 10 pips.

The trade was opened at 1.9776 with a sl of 1.9650 an a tp of 2.0. As you can see the gentlemen (or gentlewomen?) behind EspritFX think the cable (forex slang for the British pound) will go all the way up to 2.0 again. I am a bit skeptical about that, but I suppose that all depends on the economic data coming in from the US.

That's all for now.

Sunset for the U.S. Dollar: The fall of Icarus

Hello dear readers. Check out this very informative article that I've found. It talks about the coming collapse of the US Dollar. This and many other articles, along with long sleepless nights of research lead me to take a very bullish position on precious metals such as gold and silver.

Check out the article by visiting the link below:

Click here to read the article (opens in a new window)!

So far the best method that I've found for economically owning large amounts of gold is by using the services of a company called BullionVault. If you scroll down a bit you should find a full review of BullionVault.

Enjoy the article. That's all for today.

BullionVault: The #1 way to own gold

Good day everyone. I'm back with another review. This time I'm reviewing BullionVault, another great way to own gold - the best way I've found so far. I won't go into the reasons why you would want to have direct (allocated storage) ownership of gold, let me just say that the truly rich will know all the reasons why gold ownership is so important. So without further ado, let me give you some more detail about BullionVault.

Now please bear with me, this review is going to be probably the lengthiest I've ever done. I've taken a lot of the information from BullionVault's website simply because there is no point in paraphrasing them when they say it in such a clear and concise manner already.

Oh, I should also mention before I get into the review that BullionVault will give you 1 FREE GOLD GRAM!!

What is BullionVault all about ?

It used to be very difficult for private individuals to find a simple, safe and cost-effective way of buying, storing, and then selling gold.

The main problem was the sheer size of the investment you needed to make to access the best prices and there were extra complications with integrity and storage too.

Big gold bars & the professional bullion market

  • The most competitive gold prices in the world are enjoyed by the participants in the professional bullion market: large gold dealers, refineries, government agencies and bullion banks.
  • This professional market only deals in what are known as Good Delivery bars. If you're not trading these bars you are excluded from their market - and their very competitive prices.
  • Good Delivery bars are cast by a small group of metals refiners accredited by the professional bullion dealing communities in London, New York and Zurich. They are accurately assayed and guaranteed always 99.5% pure gold or better. The market trades their pure gold content, known as fine gold, so you don't pay for the impurities.
  • From the day they're first manufactured, Good Delivery bars are kept in bullion vaults recognized and monitored by the local gold dealing community. Every time bars are moved a careful record is maintained, showing continuous storage through trusted hands. This guarantees gold bar integrity in a way that keeping gold at home, or even in safety deposit boxes, simply cannot match.
  • The result is that professional buyers accept deliveries of these bars direct from the seller's vault without re-checking their purity - and that greatly reduces bullion dealing costs. This is why they're called Good Delivery bars.
  • Good Delivery bars are large usually 400 troy ounces each (12.4kg). The professional market doesn't allow you to own part of a bar.
  • But having enough money to buy a whole bar or two would only solve half the problem. You still need that relationship with a formally recognized vault to look after the gold while you own it. The starting balance for an accredited storage account is 15 to 20 of these 400-ounce bars, and the agreements take a lot of time, cost and effort to set up.
  • These barriers keep private users out.

Direct access to the very best prices

  • BullionVault.com changes all this. It enables people from all over the world to own professional market gold and keep it in any quantity in officially recognized bullion vaults in London (UK), New York (USA), or Zurich (Switzerland).
  • All BullionVault gold is held in Good Delivery form. So when you come to sell, your buyer is able to trust the purity and weight of your gold, which is guaranteed by BullionVault itself because we know that you never had the chance to corrupt it.
  • So the dealing spread is typically 0.4%, about one-tenth of the equivalent cost charged to private customers for gold coins and small bars.
  • You can buy just a small portion of a 400-ounce bar. You can trade on-line in increments as small as 1 gram - currently about $20.
  • BullionVault is not a unit trust / mutual. There is no 5% front end subscription load. When buying gold you pay a commission whose maximum rate is 0.8%, falling progressively when you invest above $30,000 to the spectacularly low rate of 0.02%.
  • Storage charges are down to wholesale rates of 0.12% pa ($4 per month minimum) with insurance included. That's less than a tenth of the storage fees charged by retail banks, and less than one-third the annual fees charged by typical exchange-traded gold funds (ETFs).
  • BullionVault customers also save money because they deal directly with each other, willing seller to willing buyer, bypassing the gold dealers by using our order board.
  • You make a further big saving at settlement time too. You don't have to arrange for expensive armoured courier bullion collections.

Your safety & security assured

  • For as long as you own it your gold remains your outright property, stored in specialist facilities reserved exclusively for BullionVault clients and run by accredited professional vault operators who are wholly independent of BullionVault. You choose the storage location :- London, New York or Zurich.
  • You are truly isolated from the systemic risks in the financial system. You have taken legal delivery of your gold and you own it directly in physical form. Unlike the huge majority of investment products no company's financial failure can deprive you of this gold. Lloyds, Via Mat and BullionVault could all fail - and your gold is still safely yours.
  • Each and every working day BullionVault publishes on the internet the complete register of all its gold owners with each owner listed under a public nickname known only to themselves.
  • This register reconciles exactly to the official bar list published with it. The bar list is produced by the vault operator, independently of BullionVault. No other custody business in the world subjects its records to this continual, daily, public scrutiny.
  • BullionVault is also the only gold market in the world which stays open 24 hours a day, 7 days* a week.
  • Because you and all other BullionVault users have a right to sell whole bars directly onto the main market - one of the deepest capital markets in the world - you'll always find a buyer paying a fair price when you want to sell.
  • You even have the right to withdraw gold from the vault, although the huge majority of BullionVault users leave their gold right where it is. That way they continue to enjoy the benefits of owning Good Delivery gold which - remember - does not leave the professional vaulting circuit. (There may be additional fees, taxes and reporting obligations for bullion withdrawal.)
  • Any purchase you make is settled instantaneously - we checked the seller had sufficient gold in your chosen vault before it was sold to you. Any sale you make is settled instantaneously too - again we checked the buyer had deposited sufficient money before your gold was bought from you. BullionVault offers nobody credit, so nobody can let you down after you deal.
  • You can withdraw your money immediately after you sell. Your money will leave your BullionVault client account by the end of the next business day (London time). There is no minimum period for investing.
  • For your safety and to obey international anti-money laundering laws your money is sent straight back to your original funding bank account. Money transmissions to your original funding bank account are fast, safe and low-cost.**
  • And we make sure you can't make an expensive mistake either. You won't be able to buy more gold than you can pay for, or deal at a silly price. Firstly that's because the system eliminates all of these obvious user errors, but it's also because we invite you to phone us, and we'll talk you through your first deal one button at a time. We check that everything is exactly as you want it while you're still on the phone. You'll be amazed how simple it is.

This combination of safety, value, accessibility, transparency and service has quickly attracted 17,000 users. It's created a private bullion store owned by the citizens of 68 countries and worth more than $65m, making BullionVault.com the most popular direct gold ownership service in the world.

Why do active traders choose BullionVault ?

For active traders the bottom line is the cost of trading. Traders cannot expect to make a profit if they are always paying commissions and/or the spread. It's as simple as that.

BullionVault allows active traders to choose to behave like a market professional, by quoting prices. This allows the true trader a negative cost per trade, through the opportunity to earn the spread.

To see the power of this examine the net effect of continuous quoting on BullionVault on an unmoving price with a $2 spread at $620 per ounce. The quoter earns rather than pays the spread - just like a market professional. It soon outweighs the cost of commissions :-

Annual volume Buy commission Sell commission Spread Net effect
First $30,000 -0.8% -0.8% +0.32% -1.28% -$384
Next $30,000 -0.4% -0.4% +0.32% -0.48% -$144
Next $540,000 -0.1% -0.1% +0.32% +0.12% +$648
Thereafter -0.02% -0.02% +0.32% +0.28% +0.28%*

*%age of your trade volume.

There are very few systems in the world which will grant you access to the spread, and you can see why. Spread access is what really gives you the ability to profit from trading, and that's why most businesses keep it for themselves.

But notice that you are not making a profit at BullionVault's expense here. What is happening is that the liquidity you provide is being consumed by a retail client who is taking the price you make, and paying the spread to you and a commission to BullionVault.

BullionVault, in the tradition of a true exchange, is acting as a meeting place. BullionVault's capital is not employed in the transaction, and the resources of both parties are on hand to settle the transaction instantaneously. This is how BullionVault is at no material risk, and why it is satisfied to earn the tiny amount of 0.02% on your side, which is greatly exceeded by the likely 0.8% of commission which BullionVault makes on customer who accepts your price.

We think this is fair. A long term holder who trades infrequently pays a higher commission for a service he uses infrequently, but where he expects to find ample liquidity when he wants to sell. A liquidity provider pays a much lower commission rate which means he can earn a profit from providing liquidity. More to the point - and this is very important - people are entirely free to choose which one they want to be. The commission rate simply reduces automatically as people trade more.

BullionVault's objective is to be the cheapest, safest, and most accessible worldwide market in privately owned gold bullion. There is no safer way for private individuals to deal in and own gold, and there is no fairer proposition to the trader. But always be aware that trading is a risky business because markets can swing against you. When you quote prices you need to be ready to act as markets move, otherwise you will find your prices become unduly attractive to other participants.

Your bullion's physical storage

Your gold is held in one of the worlds strongest and most trusted specialist bullion vaults, operated on our behalf by Via Mat.

You choose in which Via Mat vault your gold is stored from one or more of the following locations:

These three locations cover the three most active bullion markets in the world and give you an opportunity to select an offshore jurisdiction for storage.

You buy your guaranteed quality gold only when it is already safely in the vault. Bars are always insured and they do not move. Even in the course of delivery from BullionVault seller to buyer the gold stays securely in the vault.

You can at any time prove your individual ownership of gold in the vault by comparing the Via Mat bar list to an individually nicknamed list of all BullionVault holdings published on a public page on the BullionVault.com site.

Back to top of FAQs

Why is my bullion not stored in a bank ?

You may be surprised that your gold is not stored in a vault run by a bank. Why not?

The short answer is that nowadays banks operate the wrong kind of business to be willing and reliable custodians of your gold.

Modern banks make their money by providing credit, and by executing transactions. They have little enthusiasm for a low margin role as physical custodians of bullion. Very few of them actually manage bullion vaults at all.

They will - nevertheless - be pleased to provide you with unallocated gold which in most cases is probably not the form of gold which properly informed private buyers are looking for. [Click here for a full explanation of unallocated gold]

BullionVault does not provide unallocated gold. BullionVault's gold owners own their gold outright and on their behalf BullionVault seeks a vaulting system and a custodial relationship which meets the following criteria:-

  • the vault management company must be long established, substantial, and 100% trustworthy
  • the maintenance of physically secure facilities must be at the heart of its normal commercial operations
  • the core business must not be based on, or related to, the creation and sale of financial or credit products
  • the operators must be very experienced in managing bullion
  • the operators must have multiple international vaults under their management
  • the operators must be competent to undertake international shipments of gold
  • the operators must be fully authorised by their local bullion community to take delivery of Good Delivery Bars, store them, and deliver them up at sale as good delivery.

We believe Via Mat fulfils these criteria to the very highest levels - and we believe Via Mat's Swiss heritage and ultimate ownership provides the most solid and responsible of custody environments.

Back to top of FAQs

Protection for your gold

In the vault your gold is soundly protected.

  • It is insured.
  • It exists under the jurisdiction you choose, so you yourself select the government and legislative structure you trust to protect your property. You can switch jurisdictions in moments.
  • Access to your account is protected with state of the art encryption technologies - but BullionVault is designed to allow account access to be compromised and still keep your property safe.
  • Withdrawal restrictions ensure value on your account is returned only to you.
  • You can at any time monitor BullionVault records to prove they correctly assign vaulted gold to you.

Back to top of FAQs

Insurance

In a vault gold is so secure that it is extremely easy to insure, and not expensive.

Via Mat arranges the insurance for us and the insurance certificate is available to be viewed on the website.

The cost is included in your custody charge.

Back to top of FAQs

Offshore custody

Government action against gold owners can be a material risk. This is why BullionVault enables you to secure your gold offshore and to transfer its location at minimal effort as risks in given locations change.

It is very difficult for a government intending domestic gold confiscation to apply it on gold held overseas. Conversely it is surprisingly easy where property rights depend on domestic legal arrangements.

With offshore storage it is important that foreign held assets are not subjected to military or political threats. In different ways Britain, Switzerland and the United States of America are marked in their suitability under these criteria.

All BullionVault customers - wherever they live - can benefit from offshore custody by making an appropriate choice of storage location. Residents of these countries also have the option of domestic storage if they prefer it.

Back to top of FAQs

BullionVault account access

Your account is protected by some of the most secure cryptographic methods ever devised. These are widely recognised as offering a thoroughly secure means of data communication and are the technical protocols in wide use by banks, governments, and other highly secure users of the internet.

But we do not accept that the ciphers could not in future be broken, or your passwords found out.

Because of these very real risks BullionVault has assumed that against the odds your internet access will be compromised, and we have implemented substantial further safeguards to guard against such an eventuality so as to still keep your gold and your money safe.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Whew! That was a LOT of information. I hope you've read through the majority of it in order to get the background knowledge about BullionVault and to see why this is one (I say it is THE best) of the best ways to own gold!

I realize some of you might have just skipped to the end and all you're interested in finding out BullionVault's website. Ok, you'll get what you wish.

Infinity Shares - NFP Loss, -1.43%

Infinity Shares came back with a -1.43% loss, on NFP trading yesterday.

"
Good day,

As some members might already know, IS has started trading again this week with our new broker. We did a few profitable tech trades at the start of the week with partial lots, but nothing spectacular. We did, however, decided to end the week with a trade that was 90% sure in our books (as I explained to a member earlier about reports coinciding with technical indicators) After the strong non-farms and ISM reports, plus the overwhelming technical indicators directing a bearish trend for both GBP/USD and EUR/USD pairs, we decided to enter a short position on the EUR/USD pair after both reports and after the euro broke the 1.3400 support. The pair did go down as predicted, but due to a number of events like short-covering the euro ahead of the weekend, plus renewing of EUR/JPY positions led to the pair not only recovering what it had gained from the strong US-biased reports, but even showed the EUR/USD to be testing resistances on the 60/63 level.

To make a long story short, not only did we lose our short-term gains for the week, but ended the week with a little loss. Not to worry tho, we are confident that next week would be another story and we should be back to our normal rythm of trading again.

Results for this week -1.43%
(Share price adjusted from 3.48 to 3.43)"

Review: Red Hot Silver (invest in silver bullion)

BANNER REMOVED

READ THE COMMENTS BELOW THIS POST AS NOW THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM MY BLOG. I AM ONLY KEEPING THIS POST FOR REFERENCE PURPOSES AND SO PEOPLE CAN COMMENT ON IT AND SHARE INFO.

Hello folks. While browsing around I came across what looks to me like a promising investment opportunity for those that are interested in precious metals. This program is called Red Hot Silver, and I believe it is managed by the same folks who manage EasyBullion (online bullion retailer).

I must admit I'm new to this program as I've just joined it today, so I thought I'd let you folks know about it in the hope that it might meet your investment criteria. Being a big fan of precious metals, I like the program and think it would be a great opportunity to earn a generous return with no work on your part.

Ok, here is how the program works:

You purchase real silver and leave it in trust with RedHotSilver. They issue a silver certificate with a set return price depending upon the plan you choose. Once you have allocated and received your certificate they will get to work developing the profits of the silver bars they purchase on your behalf.

They do this by:

Global Online Buyers Retail/Wholesale
Ebay Buyers
Home Investors
Business Investors
Retail Outlets Offline

Once the investment term is over you can choose to cash out your investment either in fiat money (bank wire, paypal etc) or in silver bullion bars (I like this one :) best).

Here is some FAQs:

Must I be certain age to participate in red hot Silver Program?
Yes, you must be at least 18 years old or at legal age at your country.

Why do you collect my data (Address, First Name, Last Name, Phone Number)?
We do collect data so that we could identify he true owner of the account if any security problems aries.

Yes, mutiple plan purchases are welcome, we advice that you should use long term buying multiple cerificates as you can afford as this is secure and long term.

There are four investment plans, and here they are:

How do I cancel a subscription?
